A free, moderated virtual peer-support group for Virginia adults age 18 and older who are living with chronic illness. Connect with others, share experiences, and reduce isolation from home.
What this group is — and is not
This is a nonclinical peer-support and community space. It is not medical care, counseling, therapy, case management, diagnosis, treatment, or crisis service. Appalachian Access and its Patient Access Navigators do not provide medical advice or determine what treatment is appropriate. Participants should contact a licensed healthcare provider for medical questions and call 911 or 988 during an emergency or crisis.

Your privacy
For everyone's privacy, only first names will be displayed during the live session. Please do not share another participant's identity or personal information.
- You never have to share a diagnosis to attend.
- Sessions are never recorded, transcribed, or summarized by AI.
- Your camera is optional — you can take part with audio only.
- Only registered participants admitted by the host can enter the room.
Community guidelines
- Use first names only.
- Respect each participant.
- Share personal experience without diagnosing others.
- Do not give medication or treatment instructions.
- Do not pressure anyone to share.
- Do not discriminate, threaten, harass, sexualize, or intimidate.
- Do not record, screenshot, photograph, transcribe, stream, or create AI notes.
- Do not share another participant's identity or story outside the group.
