Terms of Service
Effective August 6, 2026. Appalachian Access is owned and operated by Appalachian Meridian Group, LLC. These terms are an agreement between you and Appalachian Meridian Group, LLC ("we", "us").
1. What Appalachian Access is
Appalachian Access is a patient navigation service. Navigators help you understand your options, look for specialty care, clinical trials and mobile field clinic days, help with paperwork and scheduling, and follow up after a referral.
2. What Appalachian Access is not
We do not provide medical diagnosis, medical treatment, or emergency services. Using this service does not create a patient–provider relationship.
- Diagnose a condition or tell you what is wrong
- Prescribe, change or advise on medication or treatment
- Give medical, legal or insurance advice
- Guarantee an appointment, acceptance into a trial, or coverage
- Provide emergency or crisis care
If this is a medical emergency, call 911. If you are in crisis, call or text 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
3. Your account
You must be 18 or older to hold an account, give accurate information, and keep your sign-in credentials private. You are responsible for activity on your account. You may delete your account at any time from Delete my account. We may suspend accounts used to harass staff or misuse the service.
4. Information you share
We ask for your consent before sharing your information with a navigator, a research site or a provider, and we log each consent on your consent record. You are responsible for the accuracy of the health information you enter. See our Privacy Policy.
5. Payment terms
Patient navigation is a paid service: $79 for a 45-minute navigation session. Your navigator confirms the cost before any work begins. Subscriptions and one-time purchases are billed through our payment processor and renew until you cancel. You can change or cancel a plan from Plan & billing; plan changes are prorated. Pricing for mobile field clinic days is still being determined.
Refunds: if a paid navigation session did not take place, contact Support and we will refund it.
6. Third-party listings and outcomes
Clinical trial listings, clinics and providers are operated by third parties. We work to keep listings accurate, but we do not control them and we do not guarantee an appointment, acceptance into a study, insurance coverage, or any particular health outcome. Tell us at support@appalachianaccess.org if a listing looks wrong and we will review it.
7. Acceptable use
Do not misrepresent your identity, attempt to access other members' data, scrape or resell content, or use the service for anything unlawful.
8. Disclaimers and limits of liability
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the extent allowed by law, Appalachian Meridian Group, LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
9. Changes, governing law and contact
We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in the app. These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia. Questions: support@appalachianaccess.org or (276) 970-3072.
